This study aims to obtain a complete description of the benefits of oral literature in the introduction of Indonesian culture. Thus, the role of oral literature in the introduction of Indonesian culture became the title in this study. Even this research has a problem in how the role of literature in the introduction of Indonesian culture. Theory of literary structuralism was utilized in conducting this study. Qualitative research with descriptive analysis research method was conducted. Data analysis points to the benefits of this oral literature in strengthening the introduction of Indonesian culture. Seen from the four aspects of literary works that have in common, the first one is the similarity of the story's motives, the second one is structure of the story, the third one is characters of the story and the fourth is themes of the story. The motive of the story can be taken from oral literature "Stone Betangkup" and "Stone Cry" where both of these stories contain biogenetically. Through the storys structure of the oral literature "Batu Betangkup" and "Batu Menangis" which tells of ungodly children to parents. With the similarity of motives, structures, shops and story themes, it makes one of the unifying institutions of diversity in the Indonesian language
